Re-Entry Programs for Adults

A person’s chance of successfully reentering mainstream society is much more
likely with life skills training. The formerly incarcerated need to learn or relearn
how to manage his or her:

• Attitude

• Communications

• Decision-Making

• Emotions

• Schedule

• Finances

• and more

Second-Chance Programs for Youth

Rather than incarcerate first-time felony juvenile offenders, we could require that they attend a life skills seminar.

In the future, this could prove the difference between avoiding the justice system

altogether, or being exposed to more hardened criminals where they learn more bad

habits and reach a point of no return.

Within one year, 43% of released prisoners are rearrested.

•Within five years, 77% of released prisoners are rearrested.
